OVERVIEW
Monarch Racing Syndications is delighted to present a LADIES ONLY elegant, free flowing filly, by New Zealand’s emerging young sire & Group 1 producing Cool Aza Beel. A fast 2yo son of Champion Savabeel.
to be trained by Richard Litt, Warwick Farm, NSW. She is a quality smart investment we highly recommend. She is a BOBS Nominated, Magic Millions and Magic Millions women in racing eligible.
She presents a fantastic opportunity for women to join in racehorse ownership and one that should not be missed.
SIRE: COOL AZA BEEL
One of the best two-year-olds sired by the ten time Champion New Zealand sire Savabeel – the most successful son of the great Zabeel – Cool Aza Beel created a big impression in a short time winning four of his six starts.
His Gr.1 W.S Cox Plate winning sire has been represented by 152 stakes winners, 35 of whom are Gr.1 horses.
Cool Aza Beel proved to be an outstanding representative of the breed, recording a smart win at his September 2019 debut – always in control of an 800m contest at Wanganui.
Not having much luck at his second outing a couple of months later, he was able to atone with a three length victory over 1200m at Tauranga before a dominant performance in the rich Karaka Million.
Not relishing soft conditions at his next start in Listed company, Cool Aza Beel lost no admirers with a Gr.3 second and he was quickly back into winning form taking out the Gr.1 Sistema Stakes in which he showed speed and heart at what was to be his final outing.
With his first crop just three, Cool Aza Beel is doing a fine job with Cool Archie winning five of his first nine starts including last year’s Gr.1 J.J Atkins Stakes as well as two Gr.2 races whilst in New Zealand Cool Aza Rene has won five of ten including a Gr.3 over 1400m.
Cool Aza Beel certainly knew how to find the line and so do his progeny!
DAM: BELLA VINO
A Perth Magic Millions $155,000 yearling, Bella Vino was close up in her three two-year-old starts in town and as a spring three-year-old she was in great form winning over sprinting trips at Hawkesbury and Kembla Grange (twice).
Also twice finishing a game runner-up in BM70 contests at Moonee Valley, Bella Vino has had two placegetters amongst her first two named foals including the Hong Kong based Run Yes Run.
Bello Vino is a daughter of the Champion Sire Exceed And Excel who has lived up to his name as a broodmare sire – his daughters excelling with their 130 stakes winners; 17 of whom are Gr.1 horses including Overpass, Alizee, Anthony Van Dyck, Astern, Tentyris and Gstaad.
SECOND DAM: BELLA VALENTINA
A three time winner who enjoyed Listed success when proving 1½ lengths too good when favourite in the Durbidge Stakes over 1200m, Bella Valentina was also in the placings in stakes races on three occasions.
Sadly she died young having produced only four living foals with Bella Vino joined by Lim’s Rally as a multiple winner – that son of O’Reilly six times successful (and seven times placed) from 24 starts in Singapore.
Bella Valentina’s Gr.1 Australian Guineas winner sire Pins proved to be an outstanding broodmare sire with his daughters producing 71 stakes winners – nine of whom are Gr.1 winners including Probabeel, Stratum Star and I Wish I Win.
THIRD DAM: ROARING MEG
Four times in the placings, this daughter of Century’s prolific son Centaine (dam sire of 120 stakes winners including 28 Gr.1 horses) produced not only the stakes winner Bella Valentina but also the dams of the stakes performers Merlini and Ambitious Unicorn.
Her dam is the Gr.1 winning sprinter Mrs Selleck – grandam of the stakes winners Crafty Cruiser (an exceptionally tough galloper who raced 159 times – winning 31 placings and placing 41 times!) and Miss Millbrook.
PEDIGREE ANALYSIS
Tapping into the influence of the family of a well related stallion is a proven method of line-breeding and in the case of Cool Aza Beel this is already working with his first Group winner Cool Aza Rene being out of a mare with a strain of Centaine.
That high class son of Century is Bella Vino’s second dam sire – and Centaine is a descendant of the lovely mare Rain Mist (whose dam Rainbird won the Melbourne Cup)… as is Cool Aza Beel.
As a bonus Centaine has the champion Todman as his second dam sire – and Savabeel picks up well on further Todman strains, noting that his grandam has Todman as well as outstanding full brother Noholme.
Savabeel and Centaine have always combined extremely well – 38 stakes winners, nine Gr.1 horses including I Wish I Win, Probabeel and Mo’Unga. Savebeel loves Pins strains too – five Gr.1 winners amongst 24 stakes winners.
This filly has more in common with Cool Aza Rene, both horses also line-bred to the great sprinter Vain as is Cool Aza Beel’s promising 3Y0 Fleeting Star – a recent Gr.2 runner-up.
Cool Aza Beel already has three stakes placed performers out of mares with Danehill – sire of Exceed And Excel. Cool Aza Beel’s fourth dam sire Whiskey Road is a grandson of the wonderful mare Flower Bowl whose son His Majesty is Danehill’s dam sire.
And Flower Bowl is a truly outstanding line-breeding force; Danehill and Whiskey Road coming together in the pedigrees of 75 stakes winners; 13 Gr.1 horses including the star mare Verry Elleegant.
