Her sire SO YOU THINK is the rock-star of the racing world and was an elite world-class racehorse winning 10 Group 1 races in Australia and Europe over 1400m to 2100m. As a sire, he is really hitting his straps and is rising up the stallion ranks with Group 1-winning progeny such as Think About It, Think It Over, Quick Thinker and Nakeeta Jane putting him on the map.
The dam IT’S A MYTH won two races and placed twice in Listed and Group 3 company over 1200m to 1400m. She is the three-quarter sister to New Zealand Group 3 and Listed winner LIVE TO TELL, who also won twice as a two-year-old, and is a half-sister to six-time winning sprinter and Group 3 and Listed placed TOO GOOD TOO HARD. She has had one foal to race for one winner over 1200m.
The second dam THE GOOD WIFE was a winner over 1200m and has had five foals race for four winners. She is the half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner DIVINE MADONNA, who was also a two-year-old winner, and a three-quarter sister to Listed winner LA PIETA.
When we get to the third dam we hit the mother-load of Group 1 performers off this line. MY MADONNA produced multiple group 1 winner over 1600m, and two-year-old winner, DIVINE MADONNA, who in turn produced Group and Listed winners and performers MATERNAL, BLESSUM and LA PIETA, who all won over 1000m to 1400m.
The female line continued to blossom producing more black-type winners such as Group 3 winner and Group 1 placed ANGEL OF MERCY who went on to produce Group 1 Australian Oaks winner, Group 2 and Group 3 winner AUTUMN ANGEL and Group 2-winning sprinter BARAQIEL.
The force is strong with the females in this family and this filly is a strong individual herself who moves with confidence, purpose and real swagger. Distance-wise, 1200m to 1600m looks prominent in the pedigree but she could get a little further. She has the potential to be a two-year-old runner and will only improve as a three and four-year-old like most of the So You Think progeny.
She will be trained by Simon Zahra based at Flemington, Victoria, who tasted multiple Group-winning success when in partnership with Mathew Ellerton before recently striking out on his own, with the most notable horse being Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily.
This filly is eligible for the $20 million Magic Millions Race Series, which includes the $3 million 2yo Classic and 3yo Guineas and the $2 million Magic Millions Cup. She is also eligible for the BOBS Bonus Scheme in NSW.
