Monarch Racing Syndications are delighted to present this blueblood beauty of a colt by turf legend So You Think out of Pajingo (Flying Spur), a half-sister to seven-time Group 1 winner and cult hero Alligator Blood. He was purchased at the prestigious Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, and we think he was a steal at the price! His pedigree is full of black-type and group winners, featuring champions excelling from 1600m to 2400m.

His sire So You Think is a racing rock-star and was an elite world-class racehorse winning 10 Group 1 races in Australia and Europe over 1400m to 2100m. As a sire, he is rising up the stallion ranks with 11 Group 1 winners including Think About It, Think It Over, Quick Thinker and Nakeeta Jane. He was a marvel, and just like our colt, he was a November foal. In fact, he won his first Cox Plate technically as two-year-old, 17 days before his actual birth date.

The female line showcases class with group-performed horses who were strong at 1600m to 2400m. His dam Pajingo is by renown broodmare sire Flying Spur, and is a half-sister to the famous Alligator Blood. She has produced two foals to race for one winner, who won three races over 1850m to 2000m.

The second dam, Lake Superior, is a half-sister to Listed winner Saint Emilion and the Group-performed Chateau Margaux. She has had three foals to race for two winners, including seven-time Group 1 winner Alligator Blood, who excelled over 1200m to 2000m.

The third dam, ‘blue hen’ mare Kyliekwong, is where even more turf stars are found, the most prolific being the Australian Horse of the Year Typhoon Tracy, winner of multiple Group 1 races, with 11 wins over 1200m to 1600m. Kyliekwong is a full-sister to Typhoon Tracy and was a notable Group 1 and Group 2 performer herself, placing in the Group 1 VRC Oaks and SAJC Australian Oaks. She produced 12 foals to race for 10 winners, including Listed winners Cantonese (won over 1550m to 2400m) and Saint Emilion (1600m to 2200m), and Chateaux Margaux (1400m to 2050m).

Diving deeper into the pedigree of the fourth dam, Tracy’s Element, we find not only Typhoon Tracy, but also Group 1 Stradbroke winner Danasinga (1000m to 1600m), two-year-old Group 2 Silver Slipper winner Shaft (1100m), Group 3 winner Red Bomber (1200m to 1600m) and multiple listed winner Red Element (1100m to 1200m), among others.

This colt’s pedigree is ideal for classic races, making him a strong prospect as our next Derby contender. After having our first runner in the 2025 Australian Derby, we know what it takes to get a horse there. In the words of astute bloodstock agent Paul Moroney, who selected Derby and Spring Champion Stakes winner Monaco Consul:

“He has all the hallmarks of a So You Think.”

“He has the physic, the makeup and the structure of potentially an outstanding Derby type of colt”

“There is so much High Chaparral (sire of So You Think and an Epsom Derby winner) about this colt, the way he moves, he’s got that High Chap walk and High Chap class, and that’s what we look for”

This colt is eligible for the Inglis Race Series, including the $2 million Inglis Millennium for two-year-olds, and the BOBS Bonus Scheme, which is paid out on all NSW racetracks adding a payment of up to $20,000 for each win as a two and three-year-old.

He will be trained by multiple Group 1-winning trainer and stallion maker Richard Litt at Warwick Farm, who’s successes include training rising star stallion Castelvecchio to win two Group 1 races, as well as a memorable 2nd in the 2019 Cox Plate, and Profondo who won the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes at only his third start.

This colt exudes confidence and has a personality that gets him noticed. Join us on his journey and be involved in his every step as he is trained and developed as a racehorse. Watch him grow and flourish, and be trackside as one of his owners as we dream big and aim for another Derby.
