Monarch Racing Syndications is excited to present this well-balanced, compact, free-flowing colt by dual Group 1 two-year-old winner KINGS LEGACY (by Redoutes Choice) out of GYPSY FLYER (by I Am Invincible), a two-time winner and full sister to Group 3 and listed winner INVINCIBLE STAR. This colt oozes class and his sire has hit the ground running with two early two-year-old winners already, which bodes well for this boy.
His sire KINGS LEGACY is regally-bred and is the only son of the legendary REDOUTES CHOICE at stud to win multiple Group 1 races as a two-year-old. He is from the renown fast family of SNIPPETS and is a very close relation to the famed stallion NOT A SINGLE DOUBT. He was an early two-year-old sprinter-miler sensation and a two-year-old Group 1 winner of the stallion-making ATC Sires Produce Stakes over 1400m and the ATC Champagne Stakes 1600m, defeating the likes of Ole Kirk and Prague.
His oldest progeny are two-year-olds and they have hit the ground running recording two winners in city winner OPEN SECRET and impressive debut winner at Wyong KUJENGA, so thoroughbred experts are watching closely. KINGS LEGACY’S first yearlings sold for between $300,000 to $775,000, so we feel we have picked up a bargain in this colt from his second crop.
The dam GYSPY FLYER is from a good-producing family, with this boy being her third foal, and she has claims of her own in the regally-bred department. She is a full-sister to Australian dual Group 3 winner, Listed winner and Group 1-placed sprinter INVINCIBLE STAR and a three-quarter-sister to New Zealand Listed-winning sprinter FESTIVITY through the third dam GYPSY DOLLAR’s daughter, black-type performed sprinter-miler MABSAM.
The second dam ROMANY FLYER had nine foals to race for eight winners, including INVINCIBLE STAR, and the third dam GYPSY DOLLAR had eight foals to race for seven winners, including Group 3 winner VIKING HERO and multiple winner MABSAM, dam of five winners that include FESTIVITY.
We hit the jackpot of Group 1 classic winners via the fourth dam QUEEN GYPSY, who produced Group 1 AJC Derby winner (2400m) and Group 1 Rosehill Guineas winner (1600m) and the joint Australasian 3yo champion INNOCENT KING, Group 1 AJC Flight Stakes winner (1600m) UNEARTHLY, and Group 1 SAJC Oaks Winner (2400m) INVEST.
The breeding suggests that with the injection of KINGS LEGACY, and the immediate sprinting success of the female line through the first and second dams, this colt has sprint to middle distance potential, and it is believed in breeding circles that the cross with I AM INVINCIBLE mares will be successful.
This is a colt with early-running prospect claims that should improve into his early to mid-three-year-old year. He is a well-put-together horse who moves with purpose, and he is eligible for the Inglis Race Series, including the $2 million Inglis Millennium for two-year-olds, and the BOBS Bonus Scheme, which is paid out on all NSW racetracks adding a payment of up to $20,000 for each win as a two and three-year-old.
He will be trained by multiple Group 1-winning trainer and stallion maker Richard Litt at Warwick Farm, who’s successes include training rising star stallion Castelvecchio to win two Group 1 races, as well as a memorable 2nd in the 2019 Cox Plate, and Profondo who won the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes at only his third start.
