Her sire EXTREME WARRIOR was a sprinting star and is the highest-rated son of the freakish stallion EXTREME CHOICE. He was stakes-placed as a two-year-old and a Listed and Group 2 winner at three. He possessed blistering speed and being a son of Extreme Choice, the expectations are high for his performance in the breeding barn. This filly is from his first crop and he has stamped her with his good looks.
The dam ON A GIVEN DAY was a winner at two over 1000m and is a half-sister to Malaysian sprinter and seven-time winner SUPER HAPPY. She has had four foals to race for two winners, with the most notable being the three-time two-year-old Group-placed filly EXTREME DIVA, making this filly her half-sister.
When we get to the second dam the family steps up a notch. FULL BLOOM was a stakes-performed two-year-old and is the three-quarter sister to ‘blue hen’ producing mare SNIPPET’S LASS, dam of super-sire SNITZEL, Group 3 winner and Group 1-placed sire HINCHINBROOK and Group 3 winner VIENNESSE. She had 10 foals to race for eight winners, including SUPER HAPPY and stakes-performed sprinter I AM GRACIE.
The third dam PIREANDA was a four-time winner over 1000m to 1250m and is out of the fourth dam SNOW FINCH who produced Group 3 and Listed sprinter CAPTAIN BAX and SNIPPET’S LASS, a multiple Listed winner herself and winner of seven races over 1000m to 1300m before going on to her super-successful breeding career.
SNOW FINCH also produced Royal Snippets, who went on to become the Grandam of PRIVATE EYE, recent winner of the time-honoured Group 1 Epsom Hcp over 1600m and the Group 2 Shorts over 1100m.
This is a rich family overflowing with speed and the progeny get up and run early. This filly looks built for speed and is eligible for the $20 million Magic Millions Race Series, as well as the VOBIS Bonus Scheme in Victoria.
She will be trained by Simon Zahra at Flemington in Victoria, who tasted multiple Group-winning success when in partnership with Mathew Ellerton before recently striking out on his own, with the most notable horse being Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily.
